The Test Ball

It was a nice sunny day on June 21, 2011 at the Blue Hill Golf Club in Orangetown, New York. I was playing with Cliff my good friend from my first job in Brooklyn, NY. Number 3 on Woodlands is the hardest easiest hole on the course. its an uphill 102 yard Par 3 with a big tiered green with lots of undulation. The pin was near the front. I hit my shot right at the pin. When we got up to the hole, the other guy we were playing with went to the hole and said "It's in there". Yeah, a hole in one! It was my 4th. My first hole in one was also on June 21st in 1992. The ball I used for this one was a Pro V1 test ball that I got in a sleeve of 3 about a year before from your Team Titleist. I really enjoyed testing them and had one in my bag that I did not lose that day. The club I used was a 822-os Titleist graphite shaft Pitching Wedge. I was carrying my clubs so I did not bring my gap wedge which I would have normally used for this shot. Naturally, I went out and bought a lottery ticket and that's where the great day ended. I know where I'll be on June 21, 2012!
