However I would rather use hybrids instead of 3/4 iron. 5 iron is 26 degrees, hybrids are 24 or 21 or 19. which way might be the best way to go?
Thanks

I hit this club much further then my 3 iron. I then put a 24 909H in the bag and this is much closer to the 3 iron. I had it bent to 22 degrees, fitted diamanda blue S flex. I then went with 909h 21 deg fitted with KBS steel tour S flex Shaft same length as 3 iron, my irons I have changed the lofts from 4 iron 24 degrees with 4 degree gap down to pw 48 degrees. I know the distance I hit each club 100% and dont care that I hit a 7 iron slightly less distance then the guy with the TM with a loft of 32 degrees. In the end we add the scores and I take the money!! I also have the 19 deg 910H, 15 deg 910Fd and 910D2 9.5 all custom fit with Accra Dymatch shafts not offered by Titleist.

Re: Correct gap distance between clubs

I own AP1 710s and 910H 19* and 24*. I consider my 19 like a 2/3 iron distance and I delofted my 24* to 23.25 as my 4 iron distance. My irons start at 5 (26*).

I'm curious to see what other members recommend.

I purchased a 21* 909h a few months back to replace my 21* 3-iron I had in my set, and I hit it further than I hit my 3-iron to begin with. In my opinion, going with the 24* will have you hitting it roughly as far as you did your 4-iron to begin with. Same if you went with a 21* to replace your 3. Hope this helps. Also, if you go with the new 910h's, you can adjust the loft/lie to better offset the gaps you would normally have. Hope this helps.
