I would say go see if you can find a used set first and then if you can't find one, get new clubs.

Hi Nate

Thanks for the feedback. How would you compare them to the 704s? I'm perfectly pleased with them now, but as with most others, I get tempted when I see a new Titleist release....So, I'm wondering: Do I just let my passion die down and stick to my 704s or take the plunge and get my first new set of sticks in 6 years. I'm an 8 handicap and prefer a thiner top line for sure. Gives me much more ease at address.

the 712's are built to be a tad more forgiving than the 710's and they have also changed the finish from silver to satin. Also, you may find that the topline is a bit thinner than the 710's (something that most good players really like). Hope this helps!
