The DCIs appear to have more offset than the AP1s, so they may be easier to hit than the AP1s. I can hit the 7-PW straight, it's the 5 & 6 irons that a little more offset may work better (except I have 4/5 hybrids). If your ball striking is pretty much on center, then you may be proving that the more irons change, the more they are the same. More off center hits probably benefit the most with the more forgiving irons for sale now.

I found that one gets more feedback from the DCIs because there is no damping material on the head. Seems like the DCIs pick the ball cleaner.

Here are my test results from the past 2 days....

1. I took the DCI 9 iron and AP1 PW to the park and got about 3 more yards with the DCI. Hitting was about the same. At the golf course last week, I hit the green on a 129 yard par 3.

2. Took the DCI 7 iron (36*) and the AP1 8 iron (37*) and got about a 2 yard difference. Found the 7 iron actually easier to hit. I've been having a lot of issues with AP1 8 iron for the past year and ended up using only the 9 and PW and using a choke shot with the 7-34 hybrid. I've been hitting my 9 130 yards and my PW about 115-120.

My other thought is to take the AP1 9 and PW along to the golf course next time and leave out the 5 and 6 since I'm pretty established with the hybrids. I have a 2200 yard exec course that is perfect for max usage of the 9 iron and PW (one par 3 is 115 and the other 105 and most of the par 4s are around 270-300 plus the 2nd hole is a 505 yd par 5).
