It seems to have some forgiveness for my swing. However I have a hard time keeping it straight off the tee. Any recommendations on one of the newer drivers. That might help me ?

RE: Best forgiveness driver

I played the TSR2 for about 1.5 years and loved the forgiveness. I recently upgraded to the GT2 and found it a bit less forgiving, but with more consistent ball striking it performs a bit better than the TSR2. If you are strictly looking for forgiveness I would try the TSR2. With all that being said, obviously it is always best to get fit by a professional. Hope this helps!

RE: Best forgiveness driver

tsr1 game changer ! waiting on the 1 lost no distance in fact gained and it hits the fairway everytime ¬!

RE: Best forgiveness driver

TSR2 would be the best option.

RE: Best forgiveness driver

The only way to find out is to go see a fitter. Need to get the right combination of driver head and shaft. Sometimes it is not always the driver head. Why people just walk into a golf shop and purchase a driver off the rack is beyond me. Then take it to the range and hit it, unhappy and go get another one, which is an expensive cycle and a lot of complaints. Get the club fit to your specs.

Cheaper and much much better results.

RE: Best forgiveness driver

GT2 or TSR2 will spin a bit more (helps ball go straighter) and is generally slightly more forgiving and straighter than the 3 series models. Might be worth trying.

RE: Best forgiveness driver

GT2 is the most forgiving of the new lineup.
The GT3 can be tailored via the sliding weight/sure-fit hosel, and is a great mid-tier choice, and the GT4 is a low spinning monster, but requires pretty consistent ball striking.

Of course, getting fit is the proper answer, but if consistency of strike is an issue, I'd say the GT2 is your safest bet.
For me personally, the GT3 is like Goldilocks' porridge. Just right amount of spin, and workability/forgiveness,
although it is always fun to try and blast bombs with the 4 haha
