Yep, when I first saw this newer style I was not sure but after using it in Bandon and Ireland, I think it works a lot better in the rain than the old zipper style covers.

Huh. Rangefinder pocket. Do you grab it while the bag is still on your shoulder? It would be awkward (positioned very low) to grab when the bag is standing up. Thanks for the idea.

Correct. On the older bags you could slip it up. The wire on the newer bags have a small metal tab under the plastic that keeps it from sliding easily. I have popped mine off and to reinstall it higher, used pliers to clamp it back. On one bag after I moved it up, it occasionally kept popping loose so I added black electrical tape around it which solved that problem.

I've tried your suggestion, but it doesn't budge. Do you mean pop it off and place it higher, or is it supposed to slide up?

Or you can tighten the leg tension by moving the plastic tension plate a little higher up on the two wires.

Titleist makes (or at least used to make) a towel that might work better than that rain hood. Rainhood fabric on one side and terry on the other. I use it when the weather is iffy. Attaches to the towel hook, but long enough to drape over the clubs while walking, etc. Something like that might serve you better than the hood supplied with your bag.

Like many other stand bags, the legs do droop when 'on the shoulder'. That pocket (if it’s the one I think you mean) is for your rangefinder. At least, that’s what I use it for.

And the legs flopping under the bag is the one main thing that drives me insane! It smacks the back of my legs while I’m walking. I had taken to strapping them shut, but it’s a royal pain to keep doing that for 18 holes, so I’ve resigned myself to having to deal with it.

Doc - I have 2 Players 4 stand bags and the cover is the same as you illustrate. To me seems as though it doubles as a cover in/for wet weather so you can easily access clubs in inclement weather. Just my thought but that's what is seems to me..

Once you get more rounds with the bag, IMO, the straps will provide all the cushion you need. The strap design has been used for a few years now and I believe it is better than the one that had the adjustable disk.
