The terrain is not an easy one but it has made me advance in striking skill and golf management along with its skilled members It was a windy day wind against you I took 1 extra club to be sure, A low handicap player once said to me once "That a ball well struck will never move left or right" he was right. I froze on the spot never thinking that getting a hole-in-one would ever happen to me. Our club has the main par 72 course and a smaller par 62 course where I love to play because it allows me to practice my short game more than the longer course. I was playing with my husband and teed off at Hole 16, which is a short Par 3. I saw it land and maybe roll but wasn't sure. As we were going towards the green, I told my husband, I think my ball went in. But when I got closer, I saw something on the green, so told him never mind. But as I got closer to the hole, I noticed that what I saw was not the ball but a large divot that the ball had made. So I yelled at my husband that I thought my ball had gone in. He started video taping me at that point, and we went to the hole together, and when we saw my ball in the hole, it was such excitement from both of us. I had been joking to my three other team mates, all new to me on the day. That if any of us get a hole in one the cars were being dumped. Sadly the excuses started to come out, “kids have football tonight” etc. Anyway was something I would normally say as a joke. We were playing okay however had bogeyed a par three already, criminal! I stepped up on the 12th tee, first to go-slightly downhill 220 yards par 3, 5 iron. Struck it well when one of the team who had a shot scope watch it land on the green, and it ran and it ran and he screamed “go on, get in, go on…..yeeeeessss ya beauty” I was as my first (August 27th 2026) and I didn’t know what do do, very subdued and sureal whilst my playing partners were doing what I always thought I would do and jump and scream for joy. It was a 159-yard hole from the white tees, but I was playing it at around 164 yards. I hit the ball clean, and it came out straight and beautiful. Watching it fly through the air, it looked absolutely perfect. I thought it was going to land right in the middle of the green. Instead, it landed just past the pin and had some backspin. I had already started walking off the tee box when I saw the ball rolling back toward the hole. Then, I watched it drop in. Honestly, it was the craziest feeling I’ve ever experienced on a golf course. For a split second, I couldn’t believe what I had just seen. Then it hit me, and we all went absolutely crazy celebrating. As a bit of an equipment nerd I was pretty familiar with the heads and a lot of shafts so I asked my fitter Ben to keep it as blind as possible. We went over my gamer (TM QI35 LS 9° / GD Tour AD XC-6X shaft), got some baseline data and off to work he went. As he worked his way through the GTS 2,3, and 4 we discussed the data and what I felt. I totally let him guide the process and build up of the club. The result (average) was + 15 yds carry & total, +25' PH, and a large decrease in dispersion. I had a preconceived notion that I would be fit into a GTS3 - 10° with a Tensei Blue 60g S.. AND I was way off. Final fit GTS4 - 8° D-3 w/ 8g H2 and 7g rear weights, GD Tour AD VF-5 R1 shaft. Did some sim testing once I received it and after working out my own personal swing issues with both drivers The GTS4 average was better in all categories - spin, launch, carry, total, dispersion. Put it into play yesterday and it was the best driving game I have had ever. Average drive 261 yds 11/13 FH, one miss was left rough and playable (par) and the other miss was a miss hit sky ball that the desert ate (took a drop and a double).
