Tour players don’t write their scores in pencil like we do. Their cards are marked in pen. Every shot carries more consequence. Every round raises the stakes. On Tour, they’re competing for their livelihoods. Year after year, when the best golfers in the world have everything on the line, more of them choose to tee it up with Titleist than any other brand. For seven years and counting, Titleist has been the #1 Driver on the PGA Tour. But being #1 has never been the outright goal. It’s the by product of building a driver that’s undeniably better for more players.
A Product of Our People
The trust Tour players place in Titleist isn’t built from making big claims. It comes from letting the driver prove itself in their hands.
No one understands this better than the team on the Titleist Tour Truck. On Tour, everyone knows the truck is where they’ll find answers about the latest Titleist products. And when it comes time to get fit, they call on JJ Van Wezenbeeck to get them dialed in. Known simply as “JJ” by Tour players, he’s the go-to guy for fitting new products ahead of competition. But perhaps more importantly, JJ also serves as the feedback bridge between Tour pros and the team back at Titleist HQ.
There is a concerted effort between Titleist and the best players in the world to build the best possible driver. Tour players tell JJ what they need, he relays those insights to R&D, and R&D delivers. As a result of this feedback loop, a new standard gets set with each Titleist driver launch.
GT was the best driver we had ever seen on Tour. But we’re always taking feedback and trying to improve. And we’ve certainly done that with GTS.

Every golfer wants a driver that is longer and straighter. But at the Tour level, the non-negotiables are deeply personal. Some players lock in on launch window and peak height. Some are purely chasing ball speed. Some focus on controlling spin. Others sit back and let the fitter work their magic.
Over the years, Titleist has built an intimate understanding of what each player needs. But despite the individual quirks, their collective feedback inspires the look, feel, and performance of every new Titleist driver.
So, by the time R&D handed the final GTS drivers over to JJ, he knew he had a proven foundation to work with—and it was now up to him to get it into their bags.
The team built something really good. Now, it’s the fitter’s job to unlock all that good, find the perfect setup, and show them something that’s subjectively and objectively better.

Ludvig Aberg
GTS2 | 9° | D4 Hosel
Aberg doesn’t miss often, but when he does, it’s usually slightly toward the toe. In the past, he knew that his toe strike typically produced spin around 1,900 RPM. It was a spin rate low enough where he was at risk of hitting the occasional "knuckleball" that would quickly drop out of the air and become difficult to control. But during his first session with GTS driver, Aberg immediately keyed in on how it was able to maintain consistent spin across the face. With GTS, that same toe shot registered closer to 2,300 RPM. The ball stayed in the air longer, the flight was more controlled, and the trust was immediate. He found a setup in GTS2 that allowed him to hit the shot he wanted—and get more out of it.
Lottie Woad

Lottie Woad grew up with a launch monitor by her side. She knows her numbers. During driver testing, she can accurately predict her clubhead speed and ball speed with her gamer—even accounting for the temperature and conditional variables. So, when she picked up GTS3 and saw 2–3 MPH above what she was expecting, it told her everything she needed to know.
Justin Thomas

Before he ever hit GTS, aspects of its design were already built with Justin Thomas in mind. He wants a face that lets him frame the ball cleanly at address. With the new face graphics on GTS, he set up behind the ball and immediately felt like everything was properly aimed. And as a player who hits a variety of shot shapes and trajectories off the tee, spin control is incredibly important to him. This is exactly what GTS brings to the table with more spin consistency on both draws and fades.
Built for the Full Picture
Across the golf industry, it’s common to see drivers that lean hard into a single attribute—maximum MOI at the expense of speed or maximum speed at the expense of stability. But Titleist doesn’t build drivers that way. “We’re never going to pull the forgiveness lever so hard in GTS2 that it compromises ball speed,” Van Wezenbeeck explained. “We’re never going to pull the low-spin lever so hard in GTS4 that it compromises forgiveness. We’re always looking at the full picture of performance.”
This philosophy—paired with the most precise fitting system Titleist has ever built—is the reason more Tour players will find their ideal driver setup in GTS. It’s not because one thing is maximised. It’s because everything can be calibrated to what their swing demands.
