  1. Everyone says the 6.0 driver shaft is too stiff for me. I’m 69 years old and my swing speed has dropped from 97 to 92. I tried the 5.5 and thought it might work but distance wise it’s not any better for me. I was originally fitted for the 6.0 in a Titleist TSi3 driver.

You didn't say if you're happy with the 6.0. If everyone says it's too stiff for you, and they are the same everyone I play with, you're best to ignore them. Swing speed and age are small facts to consider for a shaft fitting. If possible, find a good fitter with several shafts to experiment with. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Last year I was fit into a stiff Tensei White on my cally Rogue ST Max LS. Today I was fit for the HZRDUS Black Tour X shaft in a TSR3. I gained 30 yards on my carry and cut my spin in half.

Agree with Barry. Besides, the 6 to 5.5 won’t provide ball speed to compensate for a 5 mph loss of head speed. At our age, refitting becomes more frequent - but I rely on a professional to see if I need a change.
  5. The shaft is an important part of the clu so certainly go and get properly fitted and see the difference

Don't take advice from most golfers who cannot even hit the ball but they always know everything
