What is the difference between this year and last year ball? I know that sometimes they sort of switch spots. Just curious if everyone is playing the same ball this year that they played last year.

Same performing ball. Better cover and find them longer.

The last “switch” in performance characteristics was with the 2017 release. The 2023 release will feel a little softer than the 2021 version. There will be incremental improvements in distance. Several pro’s have switched from the Pro-V1 Left DOT to the 2023 Pro-V1.

Mainly the new gradient core. It lowers a bit of the spin more like the left dot performs. The newer ProV1x is a little softer than the last model but still their highest spinning ball.
