Well, I just got back from Bandon and I only lost one ball. On the 5th hole at Bandon Trails on the first day I hit a screamer into the bank of the front bunker in heavy grass and we never found it. The rest of the week I played the same ball. Five days, 90 holes, 415 strokes. Having the right ball and great clubs really does make a difference. Thank you Titleist! Just wondering if any of you have had the pleasure of wearing out the same ball on a road trip? Love to hear about it.

Yes I have on very, very, very few occasions been able to use the same ball on multiple rounds. For amateurs it's a great feeling and bragging point. Congratulations!
But you also have to take into consideration that being a ProV1x, I tend to look a little longer for that ball.

Typically 1 minute per 1 dollar of ball. 2 minutes for a TruFeel and 5 minutes for a Pro-V.

Quoted directly from the USGA rules of golf 18.2.
  5. Congrats Dale! You found a great way to lessen the cost of a golf trip by that feat.

I am a superstitious guy when it comes to balls. When I play a full round with 1 ball I put it in my spares and will reload a new one (same #) on my next round. The spares will be played again at some point until they are scarred...then I permanently discard them.

One our recent trip to Scottsdale for our annual TT Invitational. Played the same Prov1 for almost two rounds and then on the 15th hole on the Stadium course, day two, skulled my sand shot from the bunker left side of the green into the deep blue. Thought I was going to make it both days without losing a ball. Only three putted one green during those 36 holes. =) What a trip, what a wonderful venue. The company wasn't bad either. Loved seeing everyone. We retirees have to make those golf balls last longer.
