    Does anybody switch out their golf ball to a lower compression ball for the winter? I usually use ProV1s during the year, and I have in the past used cally Supersofts in the winter. Is there a Titleist equivalent to the low compression golf ball?

    No need to change your ball, when the temperatures change. Just change your club selection. Think you find that most on here play the same ball in all conditions. Titleist does not recommend changing balls. Me, I play Prov1s, the year round. Hakuna matata.

    There’s no technical reason to swap. All balls lose distance in cooler temps. Ionomer balls don’t spin as well if that makes a difference. The other reasons to swap are if losing balls in unkempt rough/leaves and scores aren’t counted towards handicap out of season in your area

    Try a sleeve of AVX. The softer feel and lower ball flight might be just what you need for your winter golf.

    No, I don't switch because of the weather. I do have some courses I play sometimes that eat golf balls. (a foot off the fairway and never find it unless you step on it course) I like the Tru Feel. Its probably a good comparison to the cally SS. starting to try the tour soft as well little firmer then Tru Feel.

    Titleist recommends playing the same ball year-round to maintain consistent performance and feel across all shots. Reason is cold golf balls lose some resiliency, resulting in a reduction of speed. But if you keep them room temperature until you play it won't happen.
