I’ve been fit multiple times using the Pro V1 as my baseline, and it’s always performed well for me. But with my recent numbers, I’m starting to wonder if the Pro V1x might actually match my game a little better.

My swing speed has been sitting 108–110 mph, and my ball speed has consistently been strong for that range, with fitters telling me I’m really compressing the ball. With the Pro V1 I’ve been seeing lower-to-mid spin and a fairly low apex, which is great for control but has me curious about whether the V1x’s extra launch and spin might help my flight peak a bit higher and give me a more consistent descent angle.

For anyone in the TT community who’s made the switch at similar speeds — or any insight from the Titleist team — I’d love to hear your experience. Just trying to stay involved and learn as much as I can.

I had the same question a few years ago. When I was at Titleist getting fit, we had some extra time at the end of the session so I asked the fitter if I should be playing the V or the X. He said let's find out and he told me to get my 6 iron. I then hit a couple of shots with the V and then with the X to check the descent angles. If I remember correctly, my descent with the V was around 42 degrees and the X was around 46 degrees. The suggestion therefore was that the X would be the better ball for me and I now play the X. Your mileage may vary. Hope this helps!
