I have driver, 3 wood, 19° & 23° 816s and then drop to my 5 iron with both my 718 AP1s and 714 AP1s. Works well for me.

Yes, I actually carry a 3 and 5 wood and a 24 and 27 hybrid and then 6 - PW irons. Works good for me.

Sort of redundant playing both a 25* hybrid and a 4i. Can't really see the need for both, unless you like one for specific types of lies over the other, and have the extra room in the bag to carry both.

Presently, I play an 816H1 21* and an AP3 5iron, which has a 25* loft. On average, I hit the hybrid about 10-15 yards further than the 5i, assuming I hit both on the screws. However, next season, in an effort to find a place for an extra iron in my bag, as a result of having a gap between my AP2 and AP3 mixed set, I will likely be replacing my 915F 5W and 21* 816H1 and replacing both with a single 19* 818H1, probably set at 20*. So the top of my bag will be 917D2 Driver, 917F 16.5* 3W, 818H1 19/20* and AP3 5 iron. As much as I would like to also carry an AP1 or AP3 4 iron, for one, it's not necessary and secondly, I have no room in the bag for it.

Frankly, for you Bennett A, if you play both the 19* and the 25* 816s, you might want to consider setting the 19* to 1* weak and the 25* 1* strong, giving you better gapping between the two and dropping the 4 iron from the starting lineup. The good thing is, if that doesn't work for you, you can always reset the hybrids and put your 4i back in your bag, and/or try a different combination. There is nothing wrong with playing two hybrids, but not when you already have another club in the bag that will accomplish what one or the other of the hybrids will, unless, you have the room for that luxury in your bag.

For me, I am constantly fighting to get in all the clubs I want without going over the 14 club limit. And personally, if I have to give a spot up, it's going to be at the upper end of the bag, so I can be sure to have perfect distance gaps on the clubs I'm more likely to hit most consistently---the shorter ones, 6i and down.

A 4 iron is about 23 degrees. I would think, short of actually checking distances on a launch monitor, that a 15 3W, 18H, 21H and 4 iron checks the degree gaps better. The 25 degree could be set to 24 degrees as as 4 iron replacement (I actually have a 23 set to 24 for that use).

I use 3 816 h1 clubs from driver to 4 iron. Depending on your 4 iron loft, the 25 degree h1 may be close to the same yardage. If your yardages are good for you, go for it. The 816 h1 is a beautiful thing.

I would expect the 25 deg hybrid to replace your 4 or 5 iron depending on your lofts. I use a 24 deg hybrid in place of a 4 iron in my MBs. I also use a 21 degree in place of a 3 iron. If you’re playing stronger lofted irons such as AP1 or AP3, then I would think you could drop the 5 iron.

My 2 cents. I play a 11.25 driver, 16.25 fairway, 18.0 h, 21.0 h, 5i-52w (ap1). Am 71 and works well for me. Do carry a Vokey 56.10. Main thing is I know what distances to hit them and at my age I play to position and distances. I also make the game more fun and play appropriate tees and that is not hitting from the farthest tees. Don't make the game more difficult than it can be. Cheers.

Sounds like a good plan - i sometimes will play the 4 iron rather than the hybrid.

Since I don't know the rest of your set makeup, my recommendation is this: drop the 4 iron since it will probably go the same distance as the 25 hybrid and add another wedge. From 100 yards in, that is where the strokes are saved and gained.

For what it's worth, my set-up is a 915 D3 at 10.25, 915 15d 3 wood, 17 degree 910 hybrid, and a 19d 3h and a 22d 4h, with irons 5 - pw and 53 and 58 degree sand wedges. I'm almost 64 and these gap out really well for me; but you need to go hit the various choices to determine what will work best for you.

I use a 4 and 5 hybrid the go to a 5 iron. Distances u hit each is the key. Works well for me.

When I had that combination in cally, I carried 6i-PW. The 4i and 5i stayed home. But this is the way I played them for the game I was playing at that time. Now that I switched to titleist, I use one hybrid and 4i-PW only because I like hitting my titleist 4i.

There's nothing wrong having more clubs than needed for the courses you usually play as when I travel, I pick and choose what to use for that course. Just a thought.
