Go with your gut. If your cally is working, that's good. I like to look at the Titleist script on as many of my golf products as possible, so it would be worth it for me! Have a happy New Year!

Tristan, if you haven't hit the 917 F2/3 ... I would say that you at least owe it to yourself to give it a try. I wouldn't make the switch without justification and I think simply trying the Titleist 3 woods would be validation enough!

Since this is a Titleist forum, by all means, go with the best, buy a Titleist!

Being we are members of Team Titleist, and we are inclined to go with Titleist products. Gave all my Cally products away years ago because Titleist performed so much better for me.

A lot of manufacturers make some great clubs. Titleist included. But what most other manufacturers don't offer, is the commitment to their customers that Titleist does. Personally, I play a 100% Titleist bag because Titleist has always made some of the best clubs in golf, but more importantly, they treat me like I'm important to them. As a Team Titleist member for many years, I have gotten to experience the feeling of getting special treatment, which is far more appealing to me than whether I hit a particular club 5 yards longer, shorter or the same. Some things in golf are not always easily quantifiable. Customer support is one of them. No other manufacturer, in my opinion, treats their valued customers better than Titleist does. Consequently, there may be a 3W or set of irons or putter out there that works better for me. I'll never know, but I don't care. Because there is no better golf equipment company overall who works better for me, and that, in itself, has earned Titleist every spot in my bag.

That all being said, take your XR 3W to a Titleist Thursdays and let the Titleist fitter work with you for 45 minutes. There's no cost to you. I can pretty much guarantee that if you have a consistent swing and can hit your present 3W 240 yards, with some semblance of control, they will fit you in the right set up to have you doing the same or better with a 917F. I'd put money on it.

Couldn't agree more with Doug. Only do it based on a fitting, like at a Titleist Thursday. Shaft selection is such a key component that picking a "stock" shaft at a retailer may likely disappoint and at best will likely leave real scoring potential on the table. At the price of new hardware, getting fit with a radar unit like Trackman outdoors will optimize the benefit. If your Callie was not fit that way - I'll double down on Doug's bet that you will be happy.
