Titleist 917 Driver Discounted & New Driver?

    I received an email blast from Carl's Golfland promoting discounted 917 drivers. Went to their site and sure enough they are discounted to $369! My guess is that a new driver must be on the way sooner rather than later.

    The 917 is not discontinued and will still be around even into next year despite the launch this fall of the updated driver assuming historical norms repeat themselves.

    Titleist has surprised us with new golf balls already, maybe the competition is getting away from us regarding our metals. The discounting of Titleist metals this early is highly unusual, IMHO.
