    I just recently acquired a TSR1 23 fairway. Love it. Great for those 175 yard par 3s.

    Callie has made them but the main issue is the lie angles are a bit flat. I used a 910F 19 fairway with a Steelhead III in 2013. Did the Divine 9 also. Gary Player did a segment on "Playing Lessons from the Pros" where he stated that he would have won a couple more Masters with a 9 wood in the bag. I broke 80 the first time in 2013 with a 9 wood. In 2007 I had a rather cheap 9 wood I carried with my 975F 16.5 and 20.5. In 2010, I had a persimmon 10 wood from Louisville Golf and persimmon 34H.

    I’m not sure about a 9 fairway, but there are 26 & 29 degree hybrids. Most definitely any iron that is inconsistent or hard to launch should be evaluated for alternatives.

    Just as Justin Thomas is taking a 4 iron T200 and a 5 iron T100 in place of his 621 JT blades into the Masters, getting the right tool to fit the right distance gap is more important than a full set of single style pretty irons

    I carried a 9 wood (23-28 fairway) up until about 2014. It was paired with a 19F. Basically used 7W and 27H since then. Only issue was a 20 yard gap. Been making do on and off with a 23Hz. Callie 9 woods are bit flat for lie angle vs an adjusted Titleist. I just found out recently that the TSR1 is an available 23 fairway. 40.5” Diamana x5ct S. No issues on the fairways; all you have to do is “meet” the ball. The photo is my 2nd shot into the green on a 391 yard par 4.

    My go-to hybrids probably since about 2018 have been 816H1 25 and 27. I recently upgraded to a TSR1 26H. I toyed with a TS2 27 and it actually hit pretty well with a Diamana S70+ at 38" I have that same shaft on my TSR1 26 with a standard head weight. I carried a 23H on and off since about 2019; very finicky. The 9 wood has a short enough shaft (40.5") that it plays like a hybrid plus it is much easier to hit vs a 21 or 23 hybrid.

    The old 7 wood loft was 24*. Tight Lies were 24* for 7 wood and 28* for the 9 wood. I know that Michelle Wie carried 9 and 11 woods in her bag. Morgan Pressel carried an 11 wood. Also just read that Dustin Johnson carried one in the 2022 PGA championship (he's one of those who regularly carried a 7 wood). Steve Stricker used to carry a 910H 27 hybrid at one time.

    The TSR1 has a relatively big head vs the 910F 21 and TS2 18 fairways I keep handy. The TS2 and TSR1 are 1/2" short with 7g headweights. I play the 910F 1/4" short with a stock headweight and Ilima shaft. If I want to play a Sunday bag, will pull the L Grind wedge and replace the 5 and 9 woods with the 7 wood.

    Last Friday I played one of my favorite exec courses and scored 1 over par on the East course (it has 3 layouts and one can use anything from a 9 iron to a driver on the par 3s). The 9 wood landed on the front of the green on an uphill par 3 (plays 170 but actual yardage is 162). It was also the first time for the T200 8 iron and T100S 9 iron on that course and they stuck the green. We'll see what happens at my home course (Riverwalk Presidio). Have one par 3 where the 9 wood should carry and two par 4s where it will be my most likely approach shot.

    The 9 wood did carry easily on 11th hole. The photo below is my 2nd shot to the green on a 391 yard par 4 with the 9 wood. I'll stick with 12 clubs. L Grind came in handy. The 9 wood is a lethal weapon on the fairway and is not hard to hit on uneven lies.

    I decided to put my 34H bag in the bag. I got a bit of a glitch in my swing with my short irons on the 7th hole where my back foot seemed to have glue. I rarely have issues with wedges or hybrids.

    I have TSR1 20 and 23 fairways and 26 hybrid. Not quite ready to pull the TS2 18 fairway.

    Love these 3. -1/2” the TSR1 7 wood is about 1.5 swingweights lighter vs TSR2. I used the same exact shaft in the hitting bay.
