I started golfing a couple years ago with a set of clubs my father-in-law gave me, to get me into golfing. This year I'm planning on building a whole new bag (graduation present for myself). My question is do I build a bag of clubs based on my current handicap (mid-to-high) or do I build a bag based on where I want to be in the next couple of years. I've bought a golf mat and net and been practicing everyday, and my goal (like everyone else) is to drastically improve my game. That being said, the bag I build is going to have to help me now as well as work for me once I'm a better golfer, because I'm going to have to keep these clubs for several years. And before everyone says that I should be spending money on lessons instead, just know that I'm already pouring a ton of money into lessons for my 11 year old and have a 2 year old that more obsessed with swinging clubs and hitting balls into the net, than most of my adult friends that golf. I'm open to all the knowledge and advice I can get.
