  1. After Titleist fitting I changed to the new GTS with an Ultra shaft. I am a 77 Y O 14 handicap player and gain 15 to 20 yards of fthe tee. Just as or more accurate them my old TM 2 year old driver. Very happy with the purchase. John B

  2. I got fitted with the GTS 3 driver. Garrett Todd, Titleist Fitting Rep, did an excellent job with the fitting. He got me dialed in really well. Picked up 3 mph clubhead speed and 10 yards of carry. Found out that I was probably playing the wrong ball for me. Had been playing the AVX and switched to the ProV1x. The ball feels really nice off the clubhead, getting more distance, better ball flight, and more control. I am 74 years old and anything that can give me more distance and control is really nice to have.
  3. I recently had the opportunity to test the new head on the course for the first time. As a 4-handicap with a stock swing speed of around 118 mph, I was immediately impressed by the club face. It exudes an effortless power that is simply unmatched.

Before trying the GTS head, I had been playing with the GT head, and while I achieved similar numbers, they required almost perfect strikes. However, with the GTS, even a slight 1/4-inch off-center strike resulted in the same feel as a smash factor of 1.50.

I thoroughly enjoyed the weight distribution and adjustable weights of the head. The idea of adding a second weight to the GTS2 is particularly innovative. Initially, I had doubts about the driver’s originality, but after trying it out on demo day, I realized that it was a well-crafted copy of the previous model.

    Well done, Titleist!

Preordered a GTS 3, waited for release, and finally received it. The driver arrived new in the plastic, but after unwrapping it I noticed the crown finish seems a little underwhelming. There are several pin-sized white specks and a few other paint blemishes visible on the crown. Has anyone else experienced this with their GTS? I’m trying to decide whether it’s worth the hassle of setting up a return/exchange. On one hand, it’s cosmetic. On the other hand, this is a $700 driver and I wasn’t expecting to see paint imperfections right out of the wrapper.

Yes, mine came in scratched on the bottom and top. Last time I called about my GT1 3 wood they had zero care to help. Good luck if you try. Very disappointing for sure!

You will never be happy looking at it as you address the ball. I would arrange a return and swap.

I just got fitted for the GTS2 yesterday, coming from a 917D2 I felt a huge difference. I gained 20-25 yards. I love the feel and overall look at address much more than my old Driver not to mention I was able to hit it way more consistent.
  8. I never thought I'd buy another driver, but my stocks went way up today and I thought, why not, I'm only 73 and I'm still able to hit some big drives. So, I walked into my local golf shop with my TSR3 in hand. I freaking hate hitting drivers inside. I always think I'm going to smash a hole in a wall or ceiling. So, it took me about 40 swings before I hit a 252 yard drive with my TSR3, on that GC Quad thing. So I said to the sales guy, if I hit this GTS3 260 it's probably going to cost me some money. Then, bam, 260, lol. True to my word I said I'll take it. The only thing was I kept my Tensei 1k Blue 55 stiff shaft from my TSR3 in it. So, I didn't get a new shaft with my purchase. But, I like that Tensei, so there. When I hit the GTS3 I immediately felt like it was more powerful. I also noticed that on off center strikes it maintained distance better. My spin numbers came down and club head speed went up. I was cranking out 260 yard drives with low smash factors. So, it must be better, right?
  9. Just changed my Driver Head to the GTS2 coming from GT3 and before TSr3.

    Same shaft.

I don’t go that much on forums to answer or give my take on golf clubs even though I consider myself a gear head. But my god, this GTS2 is absolutely brilliant. Just did 9 holes with it and it blew my mind how tolerant it is, it felt I hit the middle of the face every time (when I know I am not ).

I am curious to see how it does after the honeymoon period but bloody hell, this has been absolutely great.

    Well done Titleist.

    My2c,

    Quentin
