  1. What are some good drills for getting better wrist angles at impact?

Really couldn’t go wrong with slow motion swings in front of a mirror. Don’t use a ball, just a coin or poker chip to represent ball position.

Another really good one is hitting half swing punch draws with a high lofted iron. I like to see people start by teeing up the ball and trying to make sure to take the divot AFTER where the tee is in the ground. If you’re doing that, then your wrist position is fright where it should be.

I always struggled with rolling my wrists open at takeaway, then the older I got the more trouble I had closing the club face. This was due to finding a medicus on a course when I first started golfing in 1995, no one claimed it and I got to keep it. The worst thing that ever happened to my game.

Over a year ago, I had a pro tell me to try the g-snap device. It straps on your wrist and loops around your middle finger. On takeaway, you have to make it snap. It helps prevent rolling your hands open at takeaway, then it snaps on your way through on your finish. Give it a try…I have gained about 10 yards on my irons, much more accurate and solid contact.

For slow motion swings only, a 6" piece of a wooden ruler inside the back of your glove, running a few inches up your forearm was what I used to see Faldo with years ago. We had a place at a resort where he used to practice with Leadbetter in the early days. It stopped the cupping action he claimed he was prone to. He was #1 in the world a year later, never know what led to it, but he was a machine on the range, striping 5 irons for hours.

Listening to the Golf Sub Par podcast, just learned of the Pro Sendr (training aid). Might be something there... even by watching the protocol videos on the website.
