  1. Hey All!

I am trying to be better about practicing this year and I was wondering if anyone had a range session routine that has worked for them. There is a lot of info out there but I just want to be more intentional with my time on the range so it can translate to the course!

    Thanks!

  2. Depends what the session is for. Drilling something new from coach, making sure that whatever it is you’re working on is being worked on. If it’s pre round, I’d start 8i, then 9, pw, 50 before working my way back down the bag. Getting a feel for the shape of the day.

don't simply rake ball after ball after ball. take time to focus on your target, use alignment sticks and practice with a purpose. Sometimes, that purpose might just be to groove a swing or hit wedges, drivers, etc.

Hey Tyler! I think the most important piece to any good range session is being intentional about what you want to work on and not just simply pounding balls. Personally, my short game is a weak point right now. When I go to the range, I will warm up and then practice wedge shots to different distances, taking my time with each shot as if they were ones on the course. I think no matter what you may be working on, having a system that feels intentional and helpful for how you learn is the best way to go about practicing on the range. Good luck!
