Celebrating my second Mother’s Day, without my mom. (She had passed a way the previous year)I decided that I wanted to go out and play a round of golf instead of being home. Lucky enough there was an open Tee time at the Shaganappi point golf club in Calgary Alberta. I ended up playing as a single sandwiched between two foursomes. The round started bogey, bogey. The third hole was a shortish par 3. With my pitching wedge in hand I hit the ball clean. It came up just a little short and left of the hole. It released up and right. I watched it disappear from view. I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t sure if it had gone in. I was playing as a single so I waited for the following foursome to come to the tee box (the anticipation just about killed me) I approached them and said. “I don’t mean to be weird or anything but I think I just hit a hole in one. Would you please accompany me to the hole and see if it went in.” They were excited too and followed me to the hole where we did in deed find my ball in the cup! High fives all around . Man I love this game!
