I have been trying to match my dad's hole-in-one for almost 40 years. During the Colorado Senior Amatuer Championship I finally did that.
River Valley Ranch, hole 3, par 3.
It was playing to 174yds that day.
I hit the perfect 7 iron that rolled towards the hole, we could not see more than half the pin so I assumed that I should have an easy Birdie putt.
However, when we got to the green I could not find my ball, I felt like what I saw from the ball flight that it should be perfect and sitting there...it was, in the Hole!!
I can't describe the feeling of seeing the ball in the hole, after golfing for more than 50 years and getting so close many times. I was beginning to think I would never get one.
Now I want another!
