My cousins and I were golfing last weekend in a scramble to raise money for rescue animals. Going into the 17th hole, a 131 par three, we were -7, down two strokes from the leaders. I teed off first, as we had been doing. I used a 7 iron, typical for me at that distance, and shot a nice ball, flying straight at the pin. My cousin had said that the greens at Selfridge Airbase Golf Course were soft and if you hit it right, the ball will bite. My yellow Titleist AVX landed just left and front of the pin, took once ounce, then a small hop, and disappeared into the hole. We finished -9, tied for first!
