Legacy Golf Course, Granite City Il. Hole #12, 158 yards. My round was decent until the prior hole 11. My golf buddy and partner for years was John Corbin, he was a casualty of Covid, may he rest in peace! He loved Titleist Velocity golf balls, so I grabbed 0ne from my bag, looked to the heavens, said "gotta help me here Johnboy", and hit the tee shot. The hole was hidden from the tee, Dale Harris had just finished playing the hole and started waving his arms from behind the green. wasn't sure what he meant by that until I reached the green to find him waiting for a handshake and the Velocity in the hole! My reward was a $10 closest to the hole and a $5 skin. Bar bill was $65! Turns out one of the course employees was helping himself to the hole in pot (usually $750) so the course management eliminated it! So, I got the braggin rights and wanted to share with you all. NUMBER ONE BALL IN GOLF!
