The signature par 3 12th at North Shore Country Club in Snead's Ferry NC backs up to the marsh connected to the intercoastal waterway. The green is well guarded by a pond with a particularly large alligator who likes to sun itself near the cart path. A nor'easter is blowing through, and the wind was whipping. I decide to club up to my 8 iron from 152 yards. I aim 15 yards left to play a draw and ride the wind. It's coming in hot, but the ball lands on the front of the green, bounces twice, and I lose sight of it. I'm not certain it dropped in, so I patiently wait for my partner to hit, and then run to the green to find my Titleist 2 ProV1 sitting in the cup! The adrenaline, the excitement, the joy of making my second ace is just phenomenal! I'll remember that moment for the rest of my life. I love golf!
