On July of 2025 I had the great fortune to have a hole in one, my third, at my local golf club. But making the round even more memorable was that the hole in one also helped me shoot my age that day. I'm 71 years old and shot a one under par 70.

The ace was quite something. The ball never actually touched ground until it was in the bottom of the cup. This was because it struck the flagstick about a foot and a half up dead center, then nosedived straight down into the cup. And yes, my playing partners called for the beverage cart immediately. What a day!
