So while addressing the ball on hole #14 I was conversing with my playing partners and it dawned on me that I didn't go through my setup routine. So I did something I rarely do, I stepped back and went through my routine, which is one practice swing and ensuring my feet are aligned to my target.. You see more often than not I wouldn't just hit the ball and skipped my routine but for some reason I backed off. After my 20 second routine I stepped up to the ball and made a solid swing which started right of the target as I usually hit a 'baby draw' and I noticed it was heading just right of the pin. Once it landed (center right pin placement) it took a small hop and rolled towards the pin and I did hear a distinct pin of the stick being hit. I say the ball and thought to myself that ball is seriously close to the pin but didn't go in. After driving the 181 yards to the green I noticed the ball leaning on the stick and once I got out of my golf cart I say the ball disappear. I was overcome by Instant jubilation as this was my first hole in one. 37 years of waiting and my day had come. WOW!! I have to say finally getting the monkey off my back was so relieving. All three of my Thursday night mens group have hole in ones and I was the outlier. Not any more. The PRO V1X will proudly be displayed on the wall. Thank you Titleist for making the best ball in the universe.
