After playing golf on and off for 45 years (mostly off!), a retired friend invited me to pick up the game once again. I accepted his invitation. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made since I retired. We now have a regular foursome who play twice a week, averaging about 75-80 rounds a year. Our home course is a municipal course in Baton Rouge. There is one particular par 3 that bites us just about every time we play. Beautiful par 3 with water on both sides. This is where my magical shot occurred. On 3/17/2026, it was playing about 160yds into a slight breeze. I played a nice baby fade that landed softly and slowly rolled about 10 feet towards the cup. It first seemed to stop on the lip of the cup but then it dropped beautifully, right into the hole for my first hole in one of my golfing career!!!! What a feeling!!!
