I wonder who the new sponsors are.

That's what happens when you don't get the new TT Ambassador bag tag.
Seriously though, it seems he is the latest to go "free agent" on his equipment. It will be interesting to see who retains their Titleist clubs for their play and feel in lieu of just because they have a contract.
I know it's gone unnoticed but I choose to stick with my Titleist clubs regardless of the lack of a contract.

Like Adam Scott, he still has gloves, ball, and shoes With the obligations with a full equipment contract, short of a Rory or Tiger size contract, these guys don’t need the money with what they earn on tour.
Likewise I’m still biding my time with Titleist clubs until I can get a contract the equal of Lexi’s from that former Acushnet unit.

Good bye Patrick!, not my favourite ambassador but very good player that I liked coming out of college. Didn’t seem to have that appeal factor for me once he got on tour to root for him in tournaments but a good ambassador nonetheless.

I think you have to remember these guys are making a living with little guarantee income, so these deals are important to them. They also must have what they feel is best for them and some cannot accept being a back seat type driver.

Part of the merry go round with PGA tour players. Tiger Woods was with Titleist at one time. Like all professional sports; free agency and now portals in the college ranks. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Just sayin'.

Too bad Cantlay has left TT but it looks like Tom Kim is definitely in the fold. With young guns like Kim, Willy Z and Max Homa and established stars like JT and Jordan, TT is still the place to be.

Was reading Golfweek this AM. Cantlay is kind of a free agent for now, sort of like Adam Scott is. Cantlay is still using Titleist equipment for now, but is trying other mfg's and will make a decision in the near future.

I thought it interesting that Cantalay would leave now. It seems our beloved Titleist is working hard to make more custom blade and grind options available to their brand ambassadors. JT and Web Simpson being two that come to mind.

Did he leave or did Titleist let him go? Seems like a bigger push to have social media guys, who with all due respect, might sell more clubs to new golfers that Cantlay...wonder if this is the new trend?

Wherever Cantlay goes, he will have a hard time adjusting to or finding a golf ball similar to the Titleist model he was playing. This happened to Mickelson and to a certain extent, McIlroy.

Not just because I love Titleist equipment but seems everyone who part ways with Titleist struggle. Rory has done pretty good for himself but would have loved to see what he would have done with Titleist just my 2 cents

Well, Cantlay is still listed on Team Titleist as a Golf Ball Player. I guess he won’t have to deal with switching golf balls. Smart move on his part.

I do know Patrick wasn't always quick to switch to the new clubs every release, but players do come and go. Hard to let a recent Fedex Cup winner go, but losing Adam and Patrick does make me wonder, now Nelly?

Titleist has not been one to overpay through the years. Both Phil and Tiger were at one point Titleist ambassadors. Both could have been retained for the right amount.

I wish him well. He’s a fantastic ball striker who can hit a broomstick. I always wonder why players who are winning on Tour switch their equipment and get new contracts with another company. It must be the guaranteed money.
  19. Personally, I've never been a huge fan of Pat, but not going to take anything away from his skill level, but it may be how he's perceived to the public. He doesn't seem too exciting, which isn't his fault, it's just who he is on the golf course and he's not huge into social media. I'm gonna bet he's a stellar dude if you got to know him on a personal level. Good luck to him moving forward.
