I’m looking to buy my first Scotty putter this spring. As I really like the look and feel of a blade the Newport 2 has caught my eye.

I was in Golftown the other day trying out putters and the girl said I should wait for the new Scotty models to come out in 2022.l before buying one.

Does anyone know when they are usually released and will there be any major changes from the 2020 model to the 2022?

    Thanks.

  2. The Special Selects were announced in mid-January of 2020 with a March release date, so not sure what's going on with the 2022 release. It'll be curious to see if the non-insert Special Selects are the new norm or if they truly were 'special' and they'll go back to inserts with the next edition.

Thanks for the info John. I was planning on holding out for the new putter but with the wait times these days I decided to order the 2020 Newport 2 LH. I was told 7-8 weeks so fingers crossed it arrives on time.

Thanks for the info John. A few others told me there will be no changes to the Special Selects this year but a few changes to the Phantoms.

I ended up ordering a LH Newport 2 a couple of weeks ago. They told me 7-8 weeks lead time. It’s a
Only been a couple of weeks and the wait is already killing me.

I, like many other TT members, can't wait for the release and details. Maybe there will be a flashback model for us old school players.

I must say if there is a change from the 2020 style I might be a bit choked so I’m hoping they stay the same.
