    Hey everyone. I picked up a Special Select Jet Set Newport 2 putter this last August. I absolutely love it, and was worth every penny.

    But...i want to change the grip from the stock Pistolini Plus to a Matador Medium, which i know is a heavier grip.

    Is there any reason to be concerned about this change affecting the putter's balance?

    Thoughts, comments? Thanks!

    Yes, for every 4 grams in grip weight you can lose or gain one swing weight. Basically, the heavier the grip the lighter the balance vs. the lighter the grip the heavier the balance.

    Thanks Chris. I think I will just stay with the Pistolini Plus, as the putter's balance is good to go right now!

    I just switched to the matador grip. I think it’s a case by case basis pending on the balance. I’ve seen no issues thus far
