Securing TT bag tag

    I had one taken from my bag once and have never been to replace it. I had it on my bag with a plastic zip tie but that didn't work. If someone wants it bad enough, they're gonna get it. Some people are just that "jealous".

    It may not "secure" it, but I use electrical tape to wrap around the opening of the carabiner so it can't be easily opened. Someone would have to take a lot of time to get open and steal it.

    I just put some black electrical tape around the carbinder of mine.

    Guess I play with a bunch of honest guys at a muni where we have about 70,000 rounds a year. Of course we play in the early am and I take my bag to the car as soon as I am finished. Guess you could get one of those little locks that goes on a piece of luggage. Locks keep hones people honest, or at least that is what I was told. =)

    I have the heavy metal one and afraid to put it on my bag just for that reason. Put a lanyard on it and hang it from the rearview mirror when driving. Can hang it on my bag when playing, but like my clip-on American flag, it goes into hiding when I'm not in view of it. Some things are worth protecting. Cannot believe how many times my flag has disappeared before I learned that.

    Stainless steel screw on luggage cables work pretty well, especially if you use several. They are too hard to cut with a knife and take a while to remove but still easy enough for you to take off and transfer to a new bag.

    Add a drop of Super Glue and its not going anywhere!

    So true, if someone wants something bad enough they'll find a way to take it. That's why mine is hanging in my office. A little disheartening, because I would like to have it displayed on my bag.

    The electrical tape idea is a good and simple idea. For me, because I use different bags throughout the year, keeping the carabiner latch unhindered is the way I keep it. My bag is never out of my sight for any extended period.

    Another thought is, since the TT bag tag comes with a carabiner, you can always quickly unlatch it from your bag and put it in your pocket.

    I use a wire bag tag connector like I use on my suitcases...

    If you all want to secure that carabiner portion, you could go to to hardware store electrical department.
    Buy some shrink tubing that slides over the opening, close it, slide shrink tubing and lock it in place, then use match/heat source to shrink tubing in the lock position.

    Should deter the thieves for a little while and also should stop it from coming off accidentally.

    I use a thick black zip tie, on a black bag. Blends in and makes it a hassle to take easily.

    I used shrink tubing over the carabiner opening. Looks clean and is pretty effective (so far).

    I have used electrical tape in the past to keep my TT tag secure. Mine now just hangs on display in my office.

    I also wrap some around the carabiner for range finder also.

    I leave mine at home, too worried it might get broken or stolen and these things are hard to get hold off.

    If you are worried about losing a bag tag, when you order your bag, have them embroider the TT logo on your bag. Now that would be hard to steal. Not that expensive to have your name and the TT logo put on the bag when you first purchase the bag thru the Titleist account. Impossible after the purchase. Guess I am blessed, have never lost one.
