Apart from my Scotty which never left my side, as I type this I still can’t believe I left the brand ‘I loved’ for so long, about 3 years ago.

I joined ‘Team Titleist’ in 2012 and played a full bag of Titleist, Vokey’s and a Scotty for 11 years. Played with some great Clubs in that period, started with 913 Woods and AP2 712 irons, ended up in TSi Woods and T100-S irons, had a fitting for every Wood and Iron launch in-between at St. Ives (with the exception of the 917 stuff, hated the grey look and stuck with the 915 for 4 years).

What was the catalyst that took me away?. I wanted a more forgiving head to replace my T100-S, even though I was playing off 1.1 at the time, just felt I needed a bit more help for the off centre hits, what were my choices?, it was either the MkII T200 in the sale, no way could I bring myself to move to a full bag of them (I already had the 4i in that terrible plastic back design) and I hated it. So It was all fingers crossed for the 2023 T200, but alas, although the back cap was better………c’mon it wasn’t like a Titleist should be!…….so my journey away had already started and was continuing, its been an expensive ‘club-ho’ project since…..In the last 3 years, I’ve had a set of Taylor Made P790’s, miz Pro 225, currently in the miz Pro 243 with miz T1 wedges, Driver wise I’ve had the cally Rogue ST, the cally Ai Smoke Max, and currently in the png G430 10k Max. Fairways I’m in the Qi10 Max…………Wow……how many Clubs!

Another reason why I got so attracted to Titleist in the first place apart from the quality gear, is their strict 2 year release protocols, it used to save me a fortune, not looking at other stuff, and being tempted to change.

Anyway as the title said I’m back!……..lets have a rewind, and its 100% due to the 2025 T250’s looking absolutely stunning, it was a no brainier to come back for them, I’ve also picked up some SM10’s in the sale, too good an opportunity to pass, even though in March the new ones will be out, I’m happy to get a couple of years with the SM10’s, then skip a cycle until the SM12’s come out…..

I can hear my png Driver squealing in the garage at the thought of being replaced!, although I like the driver, a GT could be on the cards, once my T250’s and Vokeys have arrived……..you never know! Note: I have also bought a frosted white leather Titleist Driver headcover in the sale to hide the png in the short term……haha! Also been up in the loft and got my Titleist Tour Staff Bag (Black/Red) down, cleaned up and ready for the irons to be delivered, cheeky bonus, I forgot I kept all my Titleist Caps and Beanies…….

Can’t guarantee a full Titleist return, its going to be incredibly difficult to change up my Taylor Made Qi10 3W and 5W, they are great Fairways, I love the oversize 200cc and 180cc heads, so easy to launch, maybe just some Titleist headcovers for those clubs!

What is it about Titleist?, it’s so much more than just equipment, it’s a lifestyle, I felt compelled to log back on to ‘Team Titleist’ and let you all know…………I’m so excited to be coming back……… None of the clubs I’ve had since I’ve been away have made me feel as good as I do right now, and not once did I look for a cally, Taylor Made or miz community like this.
