Just curious, if owning Acushnet Stock (GOLF) offers a discount? I know other companies like Ford, Norwegian curse line, swoosh and etc offer discounts to shareholders. Does anyone know about this? Also if you love Titleist as much as I do, you could own part of the company!

  2. No idea. But similar had no idea about shared, so have went and bought some just to own them

i've been a shareholder since the IPO, I've never received any kind of discount. That said, I think they'd have to know that in some way which would mean sharing sensitive financial information from accounts with Acushnet/Titleist/FJ in order to verify ownership. That is a huge data privacy risk.

I'm ok with there not being a discount. The irony being that discounting cuts into profit margins and less profit means less return on my investment. I like the dividends the stock pays. (At least they were still paying last time I checked.)

This is not something we have knowledge of. I would doubt it. We TT members and long time loyalists do not get discounts.

When I worked for Levi's, I was entitled to discounts on apparel within our retail division. When I left the company I had a good number of shares of the their stock. It did not entitle me to discounts on their clothing in any of their stores.

You might write to their headquarters and ask.

I don't know, but it's a good idea to buy stock in Acushnet, as many golf balls I go through.
