    Hi all!

    I have just recently got a 35 inch Phantom x5.5, and ideally need it 37 inches... I know I can send via Scotty custom shop back to the US to get re-shafted, but gather it will take some time and cost a fair amount with shipping and exchange rates.

    Just wondered if anybody had done something similar/knew anyone UK based that could do a full re-shaft? Don't really want to extend the shaft by 2 inches and mess around with the current weight. Thanks!

    The plastic extension weigh nothing,
    Would be no different to adding extra layer of grip tape or changing from pistolero to a matador grip (various thickness)

    A bit of terps , £4 for adapter, remove grip add adapter re fit grip!

    Honestly will make 0 difference

    Thought of doing that, but just don’t want to mess too much with the shaft! I might give it a go and see what I can do

    Agree with Rhys. Start with your own extension and if you don't like it, you can then send it to a local shop. Probably not a big enough modification to send all the way to the scotty shop, especially if not a limited collector's model. BTW, the title of your post brought visions of a Scotty "mini me" to mind. Happy Holidays!

    As above, that would be the route I would try first ️‍♂️

    I’ve got 1&1/2” longer on my irons by doing the same process

    That’s what I’ve done.
    1” & 1/2 on my irons,
    1” on my wedges and putter

    Great Putter, have been using mine for the last couple of months and found it very smooth through the swing. seem to be holing a few more too which is a bonus. I know its too late but couldn't you have ordered it with 37" shaft. if it was me doing this id take it to my club pro.

    As others have said, plugging it yourself will be a good way to trial and can easily be reversed if needs be. Extending your putter by 2 inches and not altering the head weight will make the putter feel quite a bit heavier - not saying that's a bad thing, a lot of people prefer a heavier feel. If it doesn't suit then it might be worth you picking up some lighter weights for your phantom. Best of luck

    If you've not done anything with it yet, I'd recommend Manchester putting lab. I took my Scotty up with me and got custom fitted for it. They adjusted the lie angle and shortened it for me. They would tell you if you need a longer shaft.
