  1. I have a SM4 56/11 that is my favorite club in the bag. I love how it opens up, gets through sand and feel confident hitting full and partial shots with it. The problem is, it’s darn near worn out. I would love to find a NOS replacement but short of that, what would be the absolute closest replacement I could get in a more current design. I just don’t see a grind that feels all that close

    Why not use a 54-12D?
  3. I guess I could use a 54-12, it would just be a different loft than what I am used to.
I can obviously go find a ton of different 56° wedges, but I’m most concerned with and haven’t been able to find is a grind and profile that is the same as the SM4

Yeah SM4 to me is a real wedge - thin , fairly light etc ( not to mention the square grooves). Modern wedges have become bigger and heavier for different purpose - like 11 and 12 irons . I do like the new wedges but miss the days of the older tools

Below are the stock options that Vokey offers in SM10 56 wedges. (You can change the loft to an 11 on two of those but you also will affect the bounce by one degree). If you life the 56* this might be the was to go. If you order the wedge thru a Titleist account, they will adjust the loft for you at the factory.

    56° 10° S
    56° 12° D
    56° 14° F
