Titleist is the Top Choice at the 3M Open

PGA TOUR | 3M Open

Titleist was the most played golf ball (114/73%), driver (44/28%), hybrid (24/33%), utility iron (38/48%), iron (43/28%) and wedge (233/53%) at the 3M Open, extending its lead in each category for the 2021-21 PGA Tour season.

  • Heading into this week’s Olympic break, Titleist golf ball players have won 30 times on the PGA TOUR this season and more than 120 events across the worldwide professional tours.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS | Senior Open Championship

Competing for only the second time in the past 18 months, Stephen Dodd rolled his Pro V1 golf ball in from 10 feet for birdie on Sunningdale’s 18th hole to win by one shot and secure his first major championship.

  • Dodd, 55, a three-time winner on the European Tour, shot a third-round 8-under 62 to equal the championship’s record-low round.
  • On Sunday, he played his final five holes in 2 under to post 68 and hold off a host of late challengers, including Darren Clarke (Pro V1) and Bernhard Langer (Pro V1).
  • Said Dodd: “I didn’t really have any expectations… I played so little competitive golf that I just wanted to play well and just do myself a bit of justice, and I think I’ve done a bit more than that, luckily.”

EUROPEAN TOUR | Cazoo Open Supported by Gareth Bale

Titleist Brand Ambassador Justin Harding posted a flawless 6-under 65 Sunday to erase a six-shot deficit and force a playoff in Wales.

  • Harding’s runner-up finish moved him to No. 20 in the Race to Dubai Rankings.
  • The 35-year-old South African earned his second European Tour title in March and finished T19 at last week’s Open Championship.
  • Harding recently added NEW Titleist T-Series T100 5 and 6-irons to his bag.
  • He also plays a Pro V1 golf ball, TSi3 driver, 620 MB (7-PW) irons and Vokey Design SM8 wedges.

KORN FERRY TOUR | Price Cutter Charity Championship

Taylor Moore, playing a Pro V1 golf ball, followed up last week’s maiden Korn Ferry Tour victory with a final-round 62 Sunday at the Price Cutter Charity Championship to finish solo-second and move to No. 4 on the KFT points list.

  • Moore, who was No. 17 on the list just three weeks ago, started the final round five shots back of the lead.
  • He made 10 birdies over his final 18 holes, including six consecutive from Nos. 10-16, with no bogeys.
  • Moore’s victory last week, which included a personal-best and course record 11-under 60, advanced him past the KFT’s fail-safe threshold of 1,650 points, earning him PGA TOUR membership for the 2021-22 season.

KOREAN TOUR | Yamaha Honors K Open

Titleist Brand Ambassador HanByeol Kim, playing a Pro V1 golf ball and full bag of Titleist equipment, claimed his third-career KPGA victory, making seven birdies and no bogeys over his final round for 14 points and a 58-point total in the Stableford-scoring event.

  • SeongHyeon Kim (Pro V1) finished in second, six points behind Kim.
  • Eight of the 11 players who finished among the Top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.
  • Titleist was the top choice of players every major equipment category: golf balls (107/68%), drivers (70/44%), fairway metals  (70/39%), hybrids (115/47), irons (66/42%), wedges (279/64%) and putters (72/46%).

FORME TOUR | Bolingbrook Golf Club Invitational

The winner of the Forme Tour’s Bolingbrook Golf Club Invitational – playing a Pro V1x golf ball and 14 Titleist clubs – sank a 12-footer for birdie on the 72nd hole to earn a three-shot victory in Illinois, leading a 1-through-5 finish for Titleist golf ball players.

  • The winner, a three-time All-American at SMU who is seven weeks into his professional career, made seven birdies and one eagle Saturday en route to a tournament-best 8-under 63 in Round 3.
  • With the win, the first of his professional career, he moved to the top of the Forme Tour points standings through three events.
  • The leading five point-earners earn status on the Korn Ferry Tour next season.

AMATEUR | U.S. Junior Amateur

At the 2021 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, more of the game’s top junior golfers trusted their performance to Titleist than any other brand.

  • Of the 256 players competing at The Country Club of North Carolina, Titleist was the top choice across every major equipment category: golf ballsdriversfairway metalshybridsutility ironsironswedges and putters.
  • A total of 203 players teed up a Titleist Pro V1Pro V1x or Pro V1x Left Dash golf ball, more than five times the nearest competitor (38).
  • Titleist was the most played driver (89 players), with 83% of the Titleist drivers in play being TSi models.
  • Titleist TSi3 was the most played driver model at the event (63), with 28 more than the nearest competitive model (35).
  • Titleist irons were in the bags of 93 players – with Titleist 620 CB and T100 models as the field favorites – compared to 56 for the nearest competitor.
  • There were 425 Vokey Design wedges in play at the U.S. Junior, more than three times the nearest competitor (132).
  • Scotty Cameron putters were in the bags of 106 players, compared to 62 for the nearest competitor.
